Let's celebrate one another!
I have quite a few people in my life right now that are doing big things! Whether it is taking a huge leap of faith and starting a new career after years of being on a totally different career path, starting a business, creating a blog, (yes she did), moving to a new state, or going after their Ph.D. and I am elated for them! It truly makes my heart happy to see others succeed and fulfill their dreams.
But there are some of us out there, it may be you, that have a hard time celebrating others. I remember about 15 years ago I was on weight watchers, still am, insert facepalm, and I lost 78 lbs. I heard so many negative comments from people who I thought would support me. Now, mind you, every one of the negative comments was coming from folks who were overweight. You better be careful, you don't want to get too skinny. Um... you may want to stop losing weight because your face is getting too thin and you don't want to look sickly. I have a small face structure in general, I just get that turkey neck/chin thing happening and I guess that person was missing it? I was busting my butt to lose that weight and the last thing I needed was negativity. I maintained that weight loss for about 5 years and then slowly over time I gained some back. Not all of it but a good portion. We will talk about that at another time. That was a perfect example of if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
Celebrating others takes nothing away from you. I am in competition with no one so it is easy for me to celebrate with everyone. Our friends and family want that support and that atta boy or girl! Those small words of encouragement go such a long way. If you have a hard time celebrating others, think about why? Is it because you are not living and fulfilling your purpose? You can, you know?
Starting this blog was for me to give something to you. I have talked about the release I felt when I finally took that leap last month. I had friends cry because they were so happy for me. The outpouring of love and support and I am so proud of you Jackie, lit my soul on fire, and it still does. Remember, celebrating others takes nothing away from you, there is plenty of room for all of us to be happy and successful!
This week I challenge you to reach out to someone who is out there being BOLD and making moves. Congratulate them and mean it! Be BOLD!
Love this!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
