Summer Adventures

Hello!  I want to jump on here real quick and let you know what I have been up to.  This summer has proven to be one of spontaneity and adventure.  Sean and I decided on a whim to go to Atlantic City for two days because he has never been and it has been a long time since I have been. Doris Jean used to go there as a young woman so I thought it would be fun to visit. We had a beautiful hotel room, a great dinner, and got to spend some quality time together. I can't stress enough how important it is to spend quality time alone with your spouse. It is so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day.  It takes work to keep that fire burning!

So yesterday afternoon I went to Shakiyra's house to hang out for a bit and sip on a cocktail. Her in-laws popped in from Virginia around 6 pm.  A total surprise!  We ended up having a late dinner at Royal Prime Steakhouse and lost a little bit of money at Bally's.  Totally spontaneous and we had such a fun time!

I have always been a bit of a homebody.  I love to be at home in my own space.  On the flip side, I love to travel, explore and make new memories with the people I love. I think I had enough quality home time during Covid and now I am ready for new adventures.

There are only 2 more days left in July and then my favorite month will be here!  My nephew is getting married in August, my cousin's band will be playing at the beach and it is my birthday month. August will be AMAZING! Before you know it the winter months will be here and we will be spending a lot more time indoors.  I hope you are exploring, spending time with the people you love, and making all of the memories!  Life is too short to be miserable.  Make your own happiness and joy! You deserve it!

I plan to be back on a more regular writing schedule in September after Labor Day.  Be BOLD!!
