Happy Halloween!

Depending on what you read, Halloween is defined as an ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter.  The Celtics believed that on the night of October 31, the boundary between the living and the dead blurred allowing spirits to roam the earth.

American colonists were responsible for initially bringing Halloween to the United States.

Personally, I have never been a big fan of Halloween.  I enjoy the creativity that this time of year brings out in Halloween lovers and I love all of the spooky, adorable costumes.  I do not like to be scared and horror movies are my least favorite kind of movie.  To each their own!

Sean and I decided one weekend that we were going to man up and watch the exorcism of Emily Rose.  This was many, many years ago.  The next morning he was up before me.  He goes downstairs turns the corner, and sees an image rise up from the couch.  He screams what the FUC$ in the loudest most terrifying tone ever.  I ran downstairs to see a friend of ours apologizing profusely.  She wanted to surprise us so my sister-in-law picked her up from the airport and let her in with the spare key.  Sean finally got his color back.  We were definitely surprised!

I hope you all have a great evening whether you celebrate or not.  Stay safe out there and have FUN!

The best part of Halloween for me was dressing Jacob up and watching him enjoy himself with his friends and classmates.  He was Humpty Dumpty on his first Halloween.  Time flies my friends! Be BOLD!
