The Adventure of Callie's Pond

So if you didn't know, Sean and I are huge fans of Christmas.  We already have our tree up and all of our indoor decorations are out.  There are still pumpkins and mums on the front porch.  A few weeks ago Sean spotted the Carole Towne Collection, Callie's Pond at Lowe's.  He really really had his heart set on it.  We looked at a couple local Lowe's and they were sold out.  This past weekend we had a wedding to go to in New Jersey.  We arrived in New Jersey Friday evening. We went to dinner and while we were waiting for our food a teenage band started playing Christmas music. It was loud and grungy but I was into it because they were rocking out and you could tell it was bringing them so much joy.  Talk about being BOLD!  We wrap up dinner and step outside and there is a mob of people blocking the exit.  There was a man on stilts dressed as a nutcracker, it was quite the scene. Santa was making his way down in a firetruck or some type of emergency vehicle.  We made our way through the crowd and I was like wait a minute, it is November 10th. I guess that town enjoys celebrating the holidays early too.  We decided we would check out a couple Lowe's while we were out and NOTHING!

We woke up early Saturday morning and decided we would explore the town.  Everything we looked up on our phones was either closed or opened up later.  Sean decided we should go to a few more Lowe's.  I was game since we had some time and I knew he really wanted this thing. We drove so far that we almost ended up in New York City.  It was only about 30/40 miles from our hotel but we were putting a lot of miles in searching for Callie's Pond.  In case you were wondering, all 10 Lowe's we stopped at both in New Jersey and Delaware have the same exact white and black Santa standing at the entrance of their Christmas display.  I saw online while we were in New Jersey that they had 3 in stock in Lewes Delaware.  I was off today with Sean so we decided to take a ride to Lewes.  We called before we went and asked the associate to pull one and place it at Customer Service.  Part of me was so over it because of everything we had been through looking for this thing but the other part of me wanted Sean to have Callie's Pond and that we needed to complete the mission.  Sean literally smiled from ear to ear once he had it in hand.

We went through some crazy stuff in the hunt for Callie's Pond.  We were BOLD enough not to give up.

Have fun making your Christmas miracles and memories.  I truly love this time of year!
