Separation Anxiety
Houston we have a problem! This boy of ours Koby is spoiled to his core. It is totally Sean's, Jacob's, and my fault. Jacob picks him up and holds him like a baby. Sean and I snuggle him and kiss him a hundred times a day. He literally stares at us in our eyes and always has to be touching one of us. With Sean's work schedule, someone is always usually home, even if Sean is sleeping, he is home. We were leaving him out of his kennel until he started chewing things around the house. We were so worried that he would get into something that could hurt him we decided to start putting him in his kennel. The last two times we put him in his kennel he peed in it. Typically dogs don't pee in their kennel as it is their safe space and they usually don't soil where they lay. He gets super sad when he has to go in it and I put a treat in there with him and he refuses to eat it. I did my research and it is a true case of separation anxiety. If I am being honest, I don't like leaving him for long and I may have it a bit too. He is such a sweet baby boy.
We will start putting him in his kennel more often while we are home so he can get used to being in it a bit more. I am going to have to get really BOLD on this one as he truly is the baby of the house!
Het him a friend!
